Second Wind Beds, Bunks & Breakfast Makes Your Boracay Stay Nothing Short of Fun

Last weekend, I went to Boracay for the SKYathon 2015 Boracay Beach Run. SKYathon is an annual beach run organized by Sky Cable. I joined the race together with my friends from Manila. It was a fun race as always, and we are definitely joining again next year.

I stayed at Second Wind Bed, Bunks & Breakfast over the weekend, prior and after the race. Second Wind Bed, Bunk & Breakfast is located at Bulabog Road, Brgy. Balabag, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan (Station 2). The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the beach.

The hotel offers a private double room, private twin room and an eight bed mixed dormitory. I stayed at a private double room. The room has a bed that is good for two, a flat screen TV, ceiling fan, aircon, lamp, table, chair, mirrors, hair dryer, bath towels, and a locker with key. It also has a its own toilet & bath, with hot and cold shower, sink, mirror & bidet (yey!).

The design and the colors of the room are very cool and relaxing. They’re like abstracts forming origamis splashed with colors of sky blue, light red and orange. It was a very homey and cozy place that once you lay down on bed and turn on the TV, you’ll just want to stay there to rest and sleep.

Second Wind Beds, Bunks & Breakfast also offers free and strong WiFi connection which is good for all social media addicts and for travelers who need to check emails and work once in a while. Also, the room has 4 electrical outlets, so you wont have a problem for charging your phone, laptop, camera and power bank all at the same time.

When you go outside your room, you’ll see the balcony, the open kitchen and a long dining table where travelers around the globe meet and eat together. The open kitchen has a ref, water dispenser, egg station, bread station and coffee & juice station.

Breakfasts are served (for free) every morning from 7am to 10am. The breakfast they offer is very healthy and yummy: a combination of fruits, egg and bread with a spread of your choice: strawberry jam, mango jam or chocolate and it comes along with glass of orange juice.

The reception is located right after the gate and near the open kitchen and the common restroom. You may ask help from anyone of their friendly and accommodating staff for whatever you need during your stay.

I had an amazing 2 nights and 2 days stay at Second Wind. I highly recommend this to all my friends who will visit Boracay soon and I myself will always be coming home to Second Wind whenever I’ll be going back on the island.
