The Venice Architecture Biennale, one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the world that features some of the best architecture installations and large-scale contemporary art made by various designers from different parts of the globe, is holding its annual exhibit in Venice, Italy, until November 23, 2014.
The good news is, for the very first time, a Philippine-based firm is going to participate in this renowned event. WTA Architecture and Design Studio is showcasing its installation in the event.
The theme is “Fragments: Uncertainties and Characters” and it will present the different influences–cultural, political, and social–that shape the character of urban cities in Metro Manila and other parts of the Philippines.
Architect William T. Ti, founder of WTA, says that their exhibit “seeks to elaborate how uncertainty and informality allow for a greater growth and creativity.”
This will feature Metro Manila as seen through the lens of the firm’s experiences, which are highlighted by WTA’s projects.
