Mizuno Philippines recently launched Wave Enigma 6, the newest addition in their line of performance running shoes.
I was one of the lucky runners who were able to break in the shoe before its official launch in the local stores. Together with other running enthusiasts and bloggers, we ran around SM MOA by the Bay and did some running drills with the always humble Coach Mherlz leading us.
Mizuno PH’s Mickey & Nel also discussed with us the specifics of the shoe and the technology behind the Mizuno Wave Enigma 6:
Mizuno Wave Enigma 6 is a high quality road shoe for runners who are looking for neutral option. It offers “wave plate system” that absorbs shock of the heel strike and result to increased comfort and responsiveness.
Here’s what I can say about Wave Enigma 6 is after breaking it in:
- Highly cushioned, responsive and flexible
- There is enough wiggle room for the toes to relax
- It is actually very lightweight considering the sole thickness
- It will force you to go mid foot when landing
- The colors were ok but I prefer their brighter colored models
Final verdict: It is recommended for newbies as the shoe will try to correct your foot landing while you are still starting in the sport. It looks heavy but it is actually a lightweight shoe so give it a try first. For seasoned runners, you have to try it first to know if this suits your foot and running style.
