The country’s first obstacle-laden race is back to challenge runners at a new venue this November!
The Men’s Health Urbanathlon is happening on November 16 at the Nuvali grounds in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The signature event of Men’s Health worldwide is a unique race that combines an endurance run with strategically placed obstacles against an urban backdrop.
Over 3,000 participants are expected to join either of the three race categories—the 5, 10, and 21 kilometer distances. Along the way, they need to climb, and crawl through nine different obstacles. This year’s barriers include a tire field, the scaffold maze, a container van, the low crawl, monkey bars, the military up and under, the network, rope shimmey, and the 8-foot wall.
Registration period is from September 12 to November 9, 2014 at Planet Sports BGC, Planet Sports Trinoma, Gold’s Gym Galleria, Gold’s Gym Glorietta 3 and Gold’s Gym Katipunan. Online registration is now open until October 31, 2014 via www.takbo.ph/urbanathlon/. Race fees are follows: P850 for 5K, P900 for 10K, and P950 for the 21K. Those who will join the 21 K will also get a labeled race shirt and a special prize for their category.
