Fortune Island: A Patch of Greece in Batangas

Fortune Island used to be a luxury resort owned by the Levistes in Nasugbu, Batangas. Now an abandoned island, it offers white sand, sparkling beach with heavenly turquoise waters and playful waves hitting upon the wild shore.

It is a perfect budget summer getaway for you and your friends. You can have picnic under the trees if you’re on a day tour and set up a tent for an overnight camping.

However, there is no water and electricity in the island, and some amenities and parts of the island shore are not well maintained. Aside from a quick dip, you can also do hiking to the lighthouse and cliff diving on its small lagoon.

As its main attraction, you can experience a patch of Greece with the island’s Acropolis structure with Grecian pillars and statues which is also a favorite location for romantic prenuptial photoshoots and creative photo ops. Truly one of Batangas’ best kept secrets!
Here are more photos i took with my friends last weekend. Too bad we were not able to see the replica of Galleon San Diego warship which was also one of its attractions, the ruin was said to be a museum and restaurant before, but was unfortunately destroyed by last year’s typhoon Glenda.
I hope you enjoy the photos! For more photos and adventures, follow me on IG & Twitter: @alexiegrabie 🙂
